Learn the science of court movement to cover more ground with significantly less physical fatigue in this technical footwork workshop.
Session Details
Here is everything you need to know about this CoreFlow™ module:
- Schedule: Tuesdays | 11:00 – 12:00
- Location: On-Court Technical Station
- Access: Included in Adult and Junior Program
Overview & Objective
This session focuses on deep technical understanding, footwork mechanics, proper ball spacing, and rhythm optimization.
We will teach you how to properly move around the court, adapt to different ball speeds, and optimize your kinetic energy. You will learn the exact mechanics of tracking down fast, aggressive shots versus adjusting to slow, heavy balls, ensuring your body is always in the optimal position to strike.
What You Will Master in Part 1
Our on-court drills are specifically designed to improve your court coverage through the following key areas:
- Pacing & Step Selection: Learn exactly when to use multiple short adjustment steps versus fewer, explosive recovery strides.
- Directional First Step: Master the mechanics of the split-step and know precisely when to initiate movement with your left foot versus your right foot.
- Static vs. Dynamic Balance: Understand when to establish a firm, static base and when to strike dynamically on the move, keeping your body in perfect equilibrium.
- Timing & Distance Control: Improve your movement rhythm and establish proper spacing from the ball so you never feel jammed or overextended.
Interactive Workshop Methodology
This session is designed as a collaborative, problem-solving dialogue — not a passive lecture.
We expect all participants to arrive prepared, engaged, and ready to interact with the Head Coach. Please bring your specific questions and movement struggles so we can solve them together through practical and theoretical breakdown.
